Favorite Quote:
The ones who matter most are most aware that everyone else matters, too.

Confidence is something
That currently wears thin.
This is when finally the curtain falls
and the cage bars bend.

I'm finally free from the wrath of your love.
Lifted off the ground
Held tightly above.

I'm not saying I hate you.
I just want to let go.
We'll make up our minds.
Friends or foes?

Taken aback,
I can't seem to hold still.
Who we are
Overdosed on a pill.

Saying is one thing.
Belief is another.
My heart and my soul
Bind together.

Sleep so deeply
That you'll forget your worries.
Think into the future
Come on, what's the hurry?

The author's comments:
I wrote this when I was getting over someone and suddenly, I felt as if a huge burden had just been lifted from my shoulders and that I could just be myself without having to worry anymore. It was just an amazing feeling.

i know exactly the feeling - i let go of a "friend" though, instead of a boy. but its definitely a freeing feeling. the poem has that emotion - it is written freely, as though the words jumped off your pen.

if u want to read my poem, by the way, the link is: TeenInk.com/raw/Poetry/article/91407/A-Lonely-Rain/.

though its a rather different emotion
