Arrogance

I am arrogant
He/she are arrogant
you/they are arrogant
we are all arrogant

you want to be better than me
you want to stop my "arrogancy"
but I don't care what you say
my "arrogancy" is my security

you've seen my smugness when I talk
but you don't see the way I walk
home,
alone.

You don't see me smiling at the rain
How I feel it whoosh to calm my brain
You don't see the innocence of my eyes
How, everyday, I fight to try

Because all I am is arrogant

You've never seen me shed tears
you've never heard me tell my fears

because all I am is arrogant

that's all I am in your eyes
clouded and shrouded in lies
because you've bought my disguise

What would you call someone shy?
What would you cal someone who tries?
What would you call someone who's sick?
What would you call someone not-so slick?
What would you call someone who MUST surpass?
No matter the journey or her past.
Someone who MUST get money for her family.
No matter how much she MUST pass treachery...

you never thought that during your rant
because, to you, all I am is arrogant

I am arrogant
He/she are arrogant
you/they are arrogant
we are all arrogant

In a different or similar way
our minds are all filled of arrogancy
