The ocean thrashes itself onto the shore.
roaring to the sky in hopes someone will listen
alive to only live alone
moving through time with a blank stare
breathing through the pain each day brings
staring up at the stars for a spark of redemption
waiting around the clock till it strikes 11:11
each day writing a word for the letter that will explain the true heartache
but until that day comes
the waves will continue to come and go
hide from the emotions that demand to be felt
feel the tide pull all the pain and hurt out to sea
and the remains crumble to sand
