Remember
We remember what it was like
to have no worries
we remember what it was like
to be carefree
We remember how simple it was
when we were all also once a child
When our biggest worry was playing hide & seek
and where to hide
We remember what it felt like
to smile at everything
and to throw a tantrum
on every little thing
We remember when it seemed
that the world was so very big
when we feared the dark
and the monster under our beds
We remember when we became
knights and princesses, heroes and villains
when we could save the world
in our very own bedrooms
We remember how fun it was
to play games together and fight
and the next day
it would all be the same
We remember the days
where nothing mattered
we could act and do whatever
and nobody was judged
We remember when we dreamed
we made wishes on the stars
we hoped for toys
and games to play
but most of all
we remember what it was to be free
and all that mattered
was that we were happy

It's a piece I wrote to reminisce what it was like to be a little kid.
