Forever A Bestfriend
He left footprints in my carpet, and in my heart
He was wild and crazy, and fast as a dart
He made me feel safe, and safe I was
He wouldn’t bite anything but animal fuzz
He made my days with lasting memories
He always stood under the table to eat my peas
He was someone to love, and to be my friend
He didn’t want to leave me, even in the end
Days have passed with no one by my side
I keep my heartbreak to myself to hide
A dog like him leaves you with no warning
Just to reappear when you don’t wake up one morning
Memories will begin again
When that day comes of my end
