spawned in sweet flesh and raised in coats of plume
groomed and buffed
held tight and laid gently in golden rays to bloom
a selfless tune
taught conservative and humble rules
handled with care
feasting on pre-consumed meals
a need of air
of breath and flight within pockets of sky
lift off
behind, the nestled comfort of parental guard
set free to roam
unseen and unknown
unheard, unspoke
breathe free, little bird
the chains, you've broke
