When you can't walk, you crawl. And when you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you.

My heart beats as I take up my pen
My blood is ink to write again.

Forget,

What I now shall say
Forget,

When night has fled the day.
But listen now,

As twilight creeps,
As my heart beats,
My heart seeps,
Seeps the words into the pen.
My blood is ink to write again.

As my heart beats and beats,
In a queer and jolting time,
Bleeding out the words and rhyme,
Through the seams ripped by my pen,
The stitches bleeding bright,
As my heart dances,
Blood entrances,
Never ending white,
With a wild frenzied fright.

As my heart beats.

The author's comments:
This is a snippet of larger poem I'm working on. THis is meant as a sort of introduction, and it mainly focuses on the rush I get from writing. I've tried to create a steady beat, as described in the poem, but I may need to revise that a bit.

Thanks! I'd almost forgotten about this poem. I wrote it a long time ago, and I haven't really thought about it since. Hm... I think it's editing time!

I feel this. I wrote something along the same lines, just about the rush I get from writing and why I love it. Well done, as usual.
