Oh my love, my love,

When will you come to me?

Are you not sent from angels above?

Can't you answer my one plea?

Oh love, torturous love,

What a savage way to go!

Head over heels I fell for you

And took to my head a mighty blow.

When I met you, I then resolved

That you would never catch me in your snare,

But webs tangle all around me

Whenever I see your flirty stare.

Your eyes, deepest pools,

Hold me in a solemn way,

And the last clarity of your laugh

Locks me in my cage to stay.

I once found my solace

In your clear light eyes

But the words of your mouth

Were just smooth, quick lies.

You cut me through the heart

In one swift blow

You struck down the thorny rose

Before it began to grow.

Then you laughed,

Scorned at my fate

I tried to stop you leaving

Though I was too late.

In my agony,

You took your daring flight

I lay bleeding there

Staring at your light.

I should have listened to them,

The ones you've hurt before

But I was still hoping

That you'd be my knight from lore.

My mind is logical,

I'll give it this,

But even as you stabbed me,

I dreamed of your kiss.

But of course you took off,

Left my mind still a-screaming,

With me still loving you,

Still crying, Still dreaming.
