Ligament to ligament
bone to bone
Symmetrically unidentical
each finishing an arm

Ultra violets permanently
blemish the outer core

Nails lack in vitamins
jaggedly carved like half-finished sculptures

A pinkish hump no larger
than a tiny pebble shows
the recent meal of an insect

Though they are fortunate
as many from war-ridden countries are
torn from owners
For that I am grateful
To hold
To grab
To write this poem
