Python Trouble

When asked exactly how long
Middlewood Zoo's python was
I was clueless but would find out
Because that's what a good detective does
So at the dawn of midnight
Decided to investigate
With measuring sticks and sneaky skills
Snuck in through the zoo's lousy gate
And hopped into the python's cage
To discover its exact length
Too bad there were no warnings
About the python's mighty strength
So now I rest in the python's belly
And can say it's about 5 foot 2
And truly am excited to say
I'll be coming out the other end.....soon
