walking in the cold streets
hand in hand
young lovers we were
afraid to grow up
you told me you were leaving
to fight
what was i supossed to do?
my hand lost grip
of yours
as i turn and ran
now i realize you
were a hero among men
an angel
now i watch as they
put you in the cold ground
blue eyes once alive
now stare at me lifeless
those hands i touched
now won't reach out anymore
as the rain comes now
i feel release
i turn and run
