Summer Bliss
With the sweet of the grass between our toes,
The sun shines and we begin to glow.
We both laugh with such ease,
The wind around us stirs up a breeze.
I look at you and your infinite depth,
You look at my intriguing edge and me.
Your dimpled chin strikes up a grin,
I stand and ponder at the sudden whim.
You look down softly at me whimsically,
I stare up at you quizzically.
You hunch down and peck me lightly,
I reach up and hold you tightly.
We drift slowly and begin to float,
I can feel the warm air between my toes.
You look down at me lovingly and dearly,
I don't think it has ever been this clearly.
