Water rushes in
like air
clouds go by
the car hums along
as i leave
this small town
books on my lap
MP3 blasting in my ears
as the music
soothes my fears
I look out the window
all i see are trees
and more sky
kinda like a plain beauty
but i don't mind it
i look over at you
you've got a smile
on your face
but i can't be happy
cuz' i'm leaving everything
behind i've known
And you don't seem
to care at all
quietly the tears fall
i wish i could
open the door
and run back
but i can't even move
