The Lesson Learned
Every day you made me smile;
Supporting each other was just our style.
If I needed help, you were there;
I took you for granted without a care.
Who will be there to talk to me when I'm sad?
Who can make me happy when I feel mad?
You were the only one who had that power,
To change me for the better, when life went sour.
Now I feel what it's like without you;
There is no one to speak my mind to.
I always thought you would be around;
I have realized my mistake was profound.
