'My Love, I Have Failed You'
Today I did not see him with my eyes,
But I saw him with my mind.
He cried out to me,
But I did not recognize his silent plea.
We had spent so much time together,
And now I am alone.
And things do not feel any better,
As I am the only one home.
My heart and mind can't seem to agree;
This conflict makes me want to flee.
I wish I took the time to think;
Instead, I made my decision without a blink.
