Words Will Fade

I write these words in pencil
One day their going to fade.
The words telling you
what I fear to say.
I write the words, sweet and caring
I write the words in fading graphite.
The wrods one day will fade
But their meaning will remain.
These words will fade to smudges
They'll just barely be legible.
The words that say "I love you,"
the words I fear to say.
These words will fade to nothingness
Their meaning will remain.
