Leave me alone. I don't want to be bothered.
Come here, hold me tight, and please don't let go.
I need you more than you know.

Don't try to include me in your conversation.
I just want to be able to sit in.
Wait, listen. I need to talk to you, my best friend.

I'm so pissed off, I could break her neck
She doesn't need to mess with me.
Look here, I'm the happiest girl you could ever see.

One minute I'm happy, you all love that.
The next, behold, i'm mad.
You wonder what's wrong as I cry, since I'm suddenly so sad.

I know it's confusing and scary to you too.
Please just try to deal with me.
Because even when I say I don't, I need you more than you can see.

I'm a teenager who is living with depression. My moods can cause others to resent me or find me confusing. I want a way to show my family and friends what I go through. Poetry is my form of expression.
