Lies
As tears fall steady like the rain
My heart lays in pieces at my feet
Alas, I have a crimson pain pouring from me
A flame in the corner sears my skin
A mark, one for every time
Hate fills the black hole
I call my soul
My heart goes hard
The tears stop
'I will never love again'
A lie
There he stands
Brown eyes full of worry
Whispers on his lovely lips
I reach out to touch him
My heart flutters
Like a flock of butterflies
That's when I know
I lied
To myself and to you
'Forgive me'
I fall to my knees
He is there holding me up
'Lean on me'
I grab him
Then he lightly kisses me
Before I die
Lies
