Minute by minute
Day by day
I slowly watch her mind fade away
Pretty in pink lying in satin
Low tones of her favorite song playing
I bend down to kiss her cheek
The cheek that is usually soft and warm
Instead, I feel cold and hard
Finally, it sets in
She is gone
My nana has left me.
