Remembrance In Between

By , New York, NY
Small stream of consciousness in between
Your dreams, sparking some realization
That psychics won't find
A twirl of messages, hopes, truths

Until you forget

You see something new
In those few seconds
A terrestrial experience that unites and divides
Carrying the thought up that grassy hill

Until you slip down

So in between dreams
You jump in the lake
(Cold water for remembrance)
A candle at the shore

Until you dry

The majority is just colored pictures
Crayons or Sharpies? You're not sure
But the space between them
Is as white as can be

Until you fade

You know you have the energy
It's potential, it's kinetic
You can learn
From that fiery moment

Until you remember.
