He was punished for the evil deed
The crime uncommitted by
That innocent young prisoner
Ignorant of envy
And deceived by a master;
Malicious deeds performed
By an unfeeling man
Inspired by greed and jealousy
Reflected in cowardice;
Framing the young sailor
Resulting in his imprisonment
Not an ounce of pity; remorse;
Only hate reflected in those empty
Blacks and nothing more
While the innocent young man
Looses sanity behind bars;
Uncomprehending what
Has just taken place
And in his heart, bubbling
Beneath the surface,
Burning his once so innocent soul'
Arises a feeling unknown to him before.
Vengeance.
But
The enemy rises; and
He descends.

The book: The count of monte cristo written by alexandre dumas inspired me to write this poem about the main character.
