Slipping

im standing here
holding a faded picture
seems so long ago now
i try not to cry
as i think of
my past life
you seemed like a ghost
here one minute
gone the next
the wind picks up now
and i feel so alone
my heart beating so fast
droplets of rain
come down now
the picture slips
from ny hand
maybe its better that way
to forget you
im so close to the edge
i look around me
raise my face to the rain
feel as it washes
over me
and i jump
