What hurt me into poetry was being abandoned lied to and rejected. What  hurt me into a poetry was a manipulative boy and a dance routine. What hurt me into poetry was a fear of true intimacy the feeling of when your heart drops when you fall and the pride that follows when you get up. What hurt me into poetry was a single breath and a breath that never took place. What hurt me into poetry was the feeling life slip away when you laugh so hard that it feels like your ribs will collapse what hurt me into poetry was spilled blood and coughing until you rise from hell and go home to Heaven what hurt me into poetry was experience.
