The Sting of Memory
I saw it,
I felt it,
I smelled it,
and all because I held it.
This horrible
Thing,
This disgusting
parasite,
Held me captive at my will
and ate my alive
My life was done,
My future was cancelled
All my
plans,
dreams,
ambitions,
loves,
gone.
And all because of one choice,
One small idea
that popped into my head,
and grew,
grew until it just had to be done.
No more would I be happy,
No more would I hold strong,
No more would I be
Alive
