Dreaming about you,
of things never to be true,
happy, at peace, if only for a moment,
my thoughts content at the thought of you.
Only to awaken,
with tears pouring down my face,
realizing that it wasn't true,
it was just another dream about you.
Remembering the thoughts,
the surreal bliss,
the sweet touch,
the soft kiss.
Things that never happened,
things that will never reach reality,
things that were given their chance,
but now they're through,
things to exist only at night,
only in my dreams about you.
