I’m sorry you’ve been waiting on my reply;
I have a tendency to leave people in the dark.
And I know I promised I’d arrange a date
But I have my mothers eyes,
And her unwillingness to cooperate.
I should have called hours ago
But I lose track of time,
And get lost in myself somehow.
And I know I owe you an explanation
For my whereabouts the past couple of days,
But I have my fathers smile
And his inability to reason with those he loves.

Great poem it's fluent and makes great moral and is quite mind blowing the way you write gives me chills personally there's been multiple of times iv texted my girl and has never gotten an reply at first I thought either her phones out of time or she's busy or she's not home but it was like that everyday and maybe now I think maybe she's not an texter and reading your poem satisfies my wonders and cariousoity I know she safe but I still worry witch is why I sometimes try to surprise her by being there In person because I know that she's safe
