Tonight I saw Beauty
There was a man who had lost his way
After traveling many leagues
I could see it in his grimy and torn clothes
His disheveled and unkempt hair
But his eyes were calm
A soft and welcoming shade of blue
It reminded me of the sky
After it had been ravaged by a storm
I saw his steady form
For he knew that he would endure
And in his confident gait
He knew that he would overcome
His hands were rough and calloused
From the mountains he had climbed
The course malformed scar on his palm
A story he would never tell
This man passed by me one night
And he never looked back
He was content to forever search
For something he would never find.
