Visiting A Friend
I Walked Into The Ancient Resthome
Old, Blank, Staring
Old, Wierd, Gross
I Tried To Talk To My Adoptive Grandparent
Old, Smelly, Grouchy
Old, Mean, Stubborn
I Soon Left But Could Not Leave The Image
Again, Again I Went Back To Visit His Wisdom
Old, So Very Old
But So Very Wize
And So Interesting
He Became Less Stubborn
Old Became Fun, Wildly
Entertaining
Old Became Funny, Filled With
Laughter
We Became Friends, My Adoptive Grandparent
Old Became Wise, Inspiring
Friendly And Full Of Kindness
Soon Both Less Lonely With Life
Now Thirty Years Later I Am Older
My Friend Mr. David Has Passed On
But His Wisdom Continues To Impact My Life Today!
