Disappointment

Trying to be perfect is always disappointing.
Trying to be the best, only to come in 3rd.
Trying to fit in, but never saying the correct words.
Disappointment is studying all day and night for a test,
And the test doesn't even cover what you studied.
Disappointment is like working hard all quarter,
And bringing your report card home,
All 'a's' and one 'a-' and getting told to do better.
No happiness or 'good jobs.'
Disappointment is failure.
Disappointment is not being the best.
Disappointment is not living up to expectations.
