Woes of Within

Broken soul
Left alone
Out in the cold.

No one to soothe
To comfort
To protect
The broken soul out in the cold.

Only winds
That whisper harshly
And other, dark, souls
To bring pain and misery.

Who will soothe
Comfort
Protect
This broken soul out in the cold?

Who will brave
The harsh whispering winds
The dark souls of pain and misery
For the broken soul out in the cold?

But no one rises
No one tries
No one cares.

And the broken soul out in the cold
Cries out
Not for themselves
But for the others.

The ones that didn't rise
The ones that didn't try
The ones that didn't care.

Because the broken soul out in the cold
Is not the broken soul out in the cold.

It is only a mirror
For those on the inside
To see themselves.

I think that this was a very good poem and I feel that I can really relate to it.
