The sky MAG
The sky was grumpy, gloomy, and gray,
The rainy day monster left no escape.
I sat in sorrow on my window sill,
And prayed the mud puddles would freeze
over still.
December 14th shouldn’t be like this,
It should have jolly snowmen and slick ice risks.
It should have ice crystals hanging from trees,
And people dressed like Eskimos
passing out wreaths.
The world should be a land glistening in the sun,
Christmas carols should be playing for everyone.
But instead all day I am sitting in here,
With no sign of snow and no holiday cheer.
But as these thoughts rushed through my brain,
Something magical happened to the once
miserable rain.
Where there had just been water coming down from the sky,
A snow flake appeared right before my eyes.
