On the Wall
Oh, I know of a portal
Where something gruesome lurks
So horrible 'twas banished
From theres of filth and murk
It turns your insides outward
To stare upon its face
If that is what you'd call it
(It's truly more of a disgrace
To everything in nature)
Its penetrating gaze
Will forever drive you downwards
Towards a sick a maddening craze
Its grotesque, misshapen features
Will forever haunt your mind
If, after hearing my speech
You discover that you find
You wish to stare into this portal
Oh, come now, take your turn
What's the worst that could happen?
(Ok, you'd shrivel up and burn)
Still, stare into this portal
And see this thing of muck
And look--oh, great! You've broken it!
That's seven years bad luck!
