The Warmth Of The Sun Nourishes Our Tired Memory
Touch Of Rain On Forgotten Soil Quenches A Parched Heart
It Is So Quiet As The Cool Night Lies So Still Against The Land

Warmth Of Generations Are Never Gone Forever
The Land Of Texas Took My Heart Far Away
And Brought It Back As Far As The Eye Can See

As The Days Go By Everything Changes
A Tornado Might Plow Through Our State
Along With Hurricanes, We'll Rebuild Together

A Major Sports Team May Decide To Settle Here
The Towns And Cities Grow Larger And More Grand
Amusement Rides Will Spring Forth From State Parks

And National Parks Grow From The Prarie-Dog Plains
As The Barking Dogs Watch The Growth Of A Small Nation
The State Continues To Grow As A Lady And A Proud Mother

Instead Of Tumble Weeds And Grass, There Will Be Skyscrapers
In Place Of Dirt And Rocks And Playa Lakes, There Will Be Concrete
Instead Of Numerous Dust Storms, There Will Be Windmills Providing Energy.

In Place Of Farm Roads, There Are Miles Of Roads Stacked High For Travel
And You Can No Longer Say That You Can Look As Far As The Eye Can See
Unless You Continue To Look Through Your Heart And Across Faith With A Vision

As Far As The Eye Can See, Faith And Family Hold The Land Together
As Time Goes By, Everything Changes, And Everything Remains The Same
It Is So Quiet In The Morning As I Rise Up, The Land Lies So Still Against The Sky
