"Art will remain the most astonishing activity of mankind born out of struggle between wisdom and madness, between dream and reality in our mind." - Magdalena Abakanowicz

I listen to his breathing
Feel the rise and fall of his chest,
I come to realize he is everything that is anything in this world,

I look into his dark eyes,
Seeing the girl wrapped so tightly in his arms
Seeing the girl he's made me become,

I feel him pull me closer
Listen to my heart's song
About the boy I'm after,

I choke as I plead with him to never hurt me,
I feel the pounding pulse in my ears
The uncontrollable tremors that reveal my every last fear,
The whooshing blood as he speaks the words I need to hear most
'I won't',

He doesn't realize what he does
How he makes everything seem so right in this world,
How he makes my heart stop
And my veins ignite with fire,

He doesn't understand how he makes me feel
When he tells me he loves me,
He doesn't know
How scared I am of becoming his nothing,

And I fathom telling him how much he really means,
I imagine becoming his everything
Making the world stop so this never has to reach an ending,

I feel his lips lingering at my neck
The touch that brings me alive,
I feel him against me on cold January nights
His fingers intertwined with mine,

I see it in his eyes
The one thing I'm after,
I remember everything
And how you're the only man that seems to matter.
