Cosmic Dust
The combined force of all the galaxies could never hold you down. You’re cosmic dust. You’d survive a step on the sun, a trip through a wormhole, a descent into blackness. You’re indestructible, and yet, you’re teeny-tiny. Maybe that’s why it’s so easy for you to slip by; unnoticed, unharmed.
I want to hold you, take all your miniscule, luminous parts and cup them in the valleys of my palms. I don’t know if you’d let me though, so I’ll have to settle for watching you swirl and spin and dance around me, an ever-shifting kaleidoscope of light. If I can’t touch you, I will watch you, and that will be enough for me, as long as you are involved.
