Take Up Your Mantel
This word of truth.
Centuries of meaning.
All to become so impotent!
That boy, the one with
Truth so secret...
That word is not enough.
They say 'Love Conquers All,'
but I know the this to be false.
The truth is that this feeling;
this wondrous, encompassing, everlasting warmth;
This feeling transcends description.
And once again, there's the catch.
How can one express that which is inexpressible?
So I sit here, a scribe for myself,
And try. Attempt. Screaming internally.
'This peace I feel! This, which makes me
as to an overflowing vessel!
How do I share it?'
The boy lays in wait.
She knows his secret.
Will she share his burden?
