Try Hard

Why in the world do we try,
When we know we'll just get hurt?
One thing happens that makes us cry,
And we're thrown into the dirt.
We run and hide,
But can't escape,
It's like we didn't try.
They throw us down,
And kick us around
'Till we're bleeding on the ground.
Best of all is when they come
And watch us as we drown.
So why in the world do we try,
When we know we'll just get hurt?
It's easier to give up and die,
Than let them watch us when we cry.
