Love Madness

If love could speak for you my dear
Then this jumbled piece of scratch would make sense
Like leftover coffee on the tongue fragrantly bitter sweet it lingers
That first I love you with that cheesy howl from Can you feel the love tonight
Virgin lips linger slowly like a delicate piece of glass
As I kiss my friendship goodbye to the best friend of mine
Three years of struggle but it feels like child's play
Leftover corsages with blooms long gone by
Thoughts drifting in I cannot breathe
Clever dreams skating by as it all peels away like a butterfly's trappings
I look into deep hazel eyes knowing it all could go to waste a jungle of alimony
The clocks creaks out of tune
Pulsating heart seems to leap and fade
Can't find the right words to say
Except that my heart bears witness
I love you though I cannot see where I am
The photographs are cracked and my past is not spot clean
But it all fades away
Like Alice in Wonderland
Love's madness descends
Free falling
Will it last forever ?
