It's A Beautiful Thing
One more mile to M'xico.
The breeze kissing me, and a lifetime to go.
We were never picture perfect, and we weren't meant to be.
We still have each other and that's all we need.
I'm listening to the radio,
Singing the song we love and know.
One day I'm going to sing to more than just,
A shower head or the steering wheel,
Imagine how that's going to feel.
I want to close my eyes, and reach for the sunshine.
I want to touch my dreams,
Get seen on a movie screen.
I'm going to take a photograph with my mind, and make a scrapbook,
It's a beautiful thing.
One more step till I find myself.
Maybe I'll fall back into you,
But that's for me to choose.
I know I'm going to see more than the Carolina stars,
Even if that means leaving where you are.
We're in the same book but not on the same page,
I'll be gone but the scars will still remain.
And as silly as it seems,
You know I'm still going to chase my dreams.
I want to close my eyes, and reach for the sunshine.
I want to touch my dreams,
Get seen on a movie screen.
I'm going to take a photograph with my mind, and make a scrapbook.
It's a beautiful thing, memories.
