Striving to evade
Immense torture.
Fiery expressions slither
From intentional design.
Ashen skulls scream deceit,
As drying corpses lay defeated.
Darting amid confused souls,
Blinded by dark shadows,
Cast by eerie glows.
Wounded spirits lie severed,
Conflicted bodies decomposing.
Pencil thin bones rattle'
'splinter'
'shiver'
Inky blackness coats actions'
'words'
'thoughts'
To grin in bliss upon contrast,
Darkness recoils against light.
Illuminating reality
Previously concealed.
