I was born in...
a fairy tale

where the mice and birds
slave all day,
to make my beautiful dresses

all the witches are after me
including my step mothers
jealous, I'd say
of my elegant beauty and charming wit
one stupid witch tried to feed me
a poisoned apple
but I was to smart
of course I threw it away!

A beast held me
captive in his
enchanted castle
he transformed and
danced me off to bed

I can turn my fins
into slender, attractive legs
just to meet...
a good lookin' man

I know my lover
by the sound of his voice
he can't sing
Oh! too bad,
he just can't be mine.

Can you wake me from endless sleep?
Rescue me from my undesirable fate?
Kiss me all day long?
Easy, Why not?

But can you...

Handle all of me?
Tha fat hidden behind my dress?
My imperfect body and weathered hands?
Capricious personality?

Would I follow you to the ends of the earth?

Where would I keep my rodents?
my dwarfs would be Grumpy
if I left them uncared for.
I wouldn't be able to visit my family
Under the Sea
I couldn't trade nature, the New World, you call it
for a polluted place like England
I would be, like a fish out of water.

I couldn't possibly let you rule MY kingdom!
