The Night of the Living Dead
Please we must make haste,
for we have no time to waste,
If I ask it must be so,
Please move lightly upon your toes,
for the dead are in a light sleep,
but only tonight will they creep,
Thier souls returned for one night only,
They come to us because they are lonely,
So please if you want to see,
creep quietly next to me,
Down the street and through the alley,
to the graveyard we run maddly,
Soon up they come and slowly they rise,
ghouls and goblins of every size,
Until the time of the living dead,
Then they must go back to bed,
As I awake in my dark room,
I feel an ever present doom,
I shall await with a feel of dread,
to dream of the night of the living dead.
