When I first saw you,
I thought to myself,
Who is this angel,
Here in this hell.
I wanted to stand by your side,
But there are chains holding me inside,
Restraining me from all that is good in my life,
Holding me back away from you,
Keeping me far from all that is new,
Then you walked up to me,
Braving the darkness that is surrounding me,
And you set me free,
Then said follow me,
And I walked by your side,
Braving this new world that I must survive.
