Basketball Court
Right after school,
It's just a gym floor,
But it comes alive,
A little before four.
The players huddle together
to discuss what could go wrong,
The hats are removed,
Face the flag and sing the song.
The players are running,
SOme tall some short,
Dribbling the ball,
On the basketball Court
Does the basketball court
ever get worn out?
With the trampling of feet?
The crowd lets out a shout.
Win or lose, they've done their best,
High-fives because they care,
running, jumping and shoutying,
with the smell of sweat in the air.
Witht eh final buzz,
comes the end of play,
the court is swept,
ready for another day.
