Portion of My Heart
Black, bruised, raw, sore, barren, and infested by the hate of others fragile to words, pierced by love that didn't last, burned by 'I love you' crawling with the residue of the 'I hate you' gun, sewn and slit back open over and over again with lies and deceit'while trust lies asleep tears of pain awake the strength to love again, but shatter the dream of happily ever after, depression lurks in the shadows of the soft tender beats, yet with all this pain there is still room to try that love thing once again
