Seeing you cry was the hardest part.
I have lost my self in your eyes so many times
so loving you will never be the hardest thing for me to do,
but instead not being with you would break my heart,
but knowing your happy would mend it back together.
I said I loved you, but I put you through so much pain,
and now your left with a decision to make.
Either stay or leave is a question we never wanted to face.
I sat there then and now pleading you not to turn away because
I know what I would be missing in my life from that day.
Not only I be missing a best friend, boyfriend, but maybe even a husband someday.
So again, please do not turn away I confessed the hardest thing to you,
and I am still standing trying to make you stay.
if that is not enough at least you know I gave you my heart and that is where it will stay.

I was inspired to write this piece because there are many people out there who feel like they have disappointed someone, and just am not sure what to say or what to do. I created this poem out of my own experience because no matter how young or old, many of us will go through heart ache. We must always remember to be honest or forgiving if we truly love someone because that is what love is. Even if that person cannot forgive you at least you know that you had the integrity to tell the truth in spite the consequences to come.
