Rodeo All Summer Long
September. As I sit and stare at this moment in time I remember all the good memories, dirt flying, people screaming, everything happening at once. But still our heads stay still we keep calm and do what we've done all summer long.
So much time and effort imbedded in this one thing we call addiction. The last day of summer roping surrounded by all the people we love and the cool frosty wind. As I catch, dally, and turn for Quinn all we need is a timed score to win.
You can see our concentration in our eyes and posture. As the horses grind into the dirt Quinn swings his last loop. The hard work, dedication, trust, and sweat comes down to this last swing. He catches. We win. As my father always told us money spent is money earned.
