Christmas
It’s Christmas watch the snow fall and the lights twinkle,
Hear the carols and all the bells that jingle,
Smell the peppermint and turkey throughout your house,
The taste of the hot chocolate that warms your mouth,
Bundled by blankets while burrowed in bed,
Thinking why Christmas soon has to end,
Giving and receiving gifts of all sorts,
Taking the old wine and popping the cork,
Family and friends together again,
Why oh why does Christmas have end?
The cold that nips your nose and chills your toes,
It’s Christmas we have to enjoy it before it goes.

Your poem made me glad that Christmas does not end for those who understand the meaning of the cross.
