Wounded
My wounded heart
With its bleeding tear
Is beating lopsided
As I silently stare
My mind is on steroids
As my thoughts, they swell
From the outside looking in
You could never even tell
Every old wound hurts
As you open this new one
Because it aches inside
To feel so undone
My tears are like acid
As they poor from my face
For the pain is ending soon
And the numb will take its place
