The Absence of a Sunrise

Everyone can depend on what is in the skies
One example would be the glorious sunrise.
Our sun starts everyday with a simple kind of promise
The promise for a chance to feel a certain kind of calmness.
But what if one day that promise wasn't there
What if you couldn't see the sun's glorious glare
What if one day the sun disappeared.
And everything nice turned into something you feared.
